Brendon Todd is possibly the hottest player on the planet right now and will be going for three PGA Tour victories in three weeks at the 2019 RSM Classic. The FedEx Cup points leader won the Bermuda Championship three weeks ago for his first win since the Byron Nelson Classic five years ago, then backed it up with a one-stroke victory at the Mayakoba Classic last week. Now, Todd is No. 1 on the FedEx Cup points list and 33-1 to win again this week, according to the latest 2019 RSM Classic odds. Although he has never won this event, Webb Simpson is the overall favorite at 7-1 RSM Classic odds 2019, followed by Matt Kuchar and Billy Horschel at 16-1. The very first 2019 RSM Classic tee times are on Thursday at 7 a.m. ET. Before locking in any 2019 RSM Classic picks of your own or entering any PGA DFS tournaments on sites like FanDuel and DraftKings, listen to the golf predictions and projected leaderboard from the team at SportsLine.

Webb Simpson enters this week’s event as the Vegas favorite at 7-1 according to the latest 2019 RSM Classic odds, while Billy Horschel and Matt Kuchar are close behind at 16-1. Before locking in any 2019 RSM Classic picks of your own or entering any PGA DFS tournaments on sites like FanDuel and DraftKings, be sure to see the PGA predictions and projected leaderboard from the team at SportsLine.

SportsLine’s prediction model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has nailed two of the last three majors entering the weekend. It predicted Gary Woodland’s first career major championship at the U.S. Open even though he wasn’t the favorite entering the weekend. The result: Woodland held off a late charge from Brooks Koepka and won by three strokes. The model also called Koepka’s historic victory at the 2019 PGA Championship, predicting he’d hold his lead in the home stretch. In all, their advanced computer model has nailed a whopping six majors entering the weekend, and anyone who has followed it is way up.

Now that the 2019 RSM Classic field is locked, SportsLine simulated the event 10,000 times, and the results were surprising. Head to SportsLine now to see their picks.

One huge shocker the model is calling for: Charles Howell III, the defending champion of this event, stumbles this week and doesn’t even crack the top five. Howell defeated Patrick Rodgers in a playoff at this event last year, earning his third career PGA Tour victory. His victory at the RSM Classic was the beginning of a sensational campaign last season. In fact, Howell recorded eight top-15 finishes, which helped him make it all the way to the Tour Championship in the FedEx Cup Playoffs.

Despite his dominant season, the 40-year-old has struggled to find consistency, which can be directly attributed to his inability to find the fairway off the tee. Howell enters the RSM Classic 2019 ranked 175th in driving accuracy percentage (57.83), which doesn’t bode well for his chances to finish on top of the leaderboard this week. He’s not a strong pick to win it all and there are far better values in this loaded RSM Classic 2019 field.

Another surprise: Kevin Kisner, a 30-1 long shot, makes a strong run at the title. He has a much better chance to win it all than his odds imply, so he’s a target for anyone looking for a huge payday.

The 35-year-old is the RSM Classic’s all-time earnings leader with a breakthrough title in 2015 and four top-10 finishes. Kisner has had a pedestrian trip through the fall season so far, with a tie for 28th at the WGC-HSBC Champions as his best finish among his three starts. But Kisner posted a fourth place run at last year’s RSM Classic, part of a season that included a solo second at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play and a runner-up finish at the Open Championship.

Also, the model says five other golfers with RSM Classic 2019 odds of 30-1 or longer will make a strong run at the title. Anyone who backs these underdogs could hit it big.
